I have to disagree, I think the idea is trying to do anything but emulate past games. It completly strides away from what makes Zelda Zelda. I know alot of fans want nothing to do with that for some reason, but I don't see why. If you take away the elements which make it Zelda, is it still Zelda?

Its going to be titled The Legend of Zelda: blah blah blah, but it lacks the elements of a traditional Zelda game. Its similar to putting a toothpick inside of an empty chip bag: the toothpick is labeled "chips", but it really lacks the substance and doesn't deliver the same taste as a real chip. (Weird metaphor, I know. )

Hmm, I'd have to say it would be more like labling a bag of cherry blasters "Chips". Like I said earlier, I think the concept sounds cool, and there's alot of substance possible, I just don't think it's Zelda. I do like you metaphore though:P.

Best....metaphor....ever.
I'm in agreement with mattocks actually. It's just too much change to soon. It might make a good game by itself, but not a new zelda.
