What's your stance on the cel shading controversy that WW brought up?
At first, I was against it. But that was long before I actually played the game. Now, despite the so called "childish" look of it, I rank it in the top zelda games in the series. Thoughts?

I'm still a bigger fan of MM and ALttP, but it realy was a good game. I never realy thought much of it because ALttP being one of my favourite games, I just saw it as going back to the old 2-D style. Besides, graphics do no determine a game (despite what some people are deluded into thinking.......ps3).

QFT Well, i'd have to say i wasnt very fond of the cel-shaded game, but i didnt mind that much. After i got playing the game it didnt really seem to matter at all. It was just a good game, and good games go in Zeldace's top 10 even though that one is at number 12

It was meant to be cartoon-y, see 'toon link' in ssbb lol, and it was done well. It still had that zelda feel that we all love.

It's defiantely one of my favorites in the series, despite me not expecting to like it at first.

I thought it was a bit unusual for Nintendo to that i was excited about it until i saw it. And the thing that tears me up inside is that i may never get to finish it, i think it's a phobia or something i don't know it's to do with the cartoony water effects but i'm not going to get into details just yet. But despite all that i really enjoyed the time i got to play it.

It's a good game, no doubt. But it certainly has it's critics and nay-sayers.

When I started gaming, I never went near TWW, because of the graphics. Most new/young gamers base their decisions on looks, but playing it now, (I own it ), its a great game, with a lot of content. (It rivals TP, if not surpasses it in the amount of things to do.)

It's definately got the size aspect to it. The only thing is that most of the fifty islands are just little stuff that takes five to ten minutes.

I'm not really sure how I can rate this game. My story is that when I bought a GBA SP, it came with ALttP. Playing the game, I liked it. Fast forward a few years, after getting a Gamecube, when I saw another game that was also called Legend of Zelda, I thought, "Hmm, I wonder what this game will be like" and bought it. I didn't give a second thought as to the graphics at the time because, honestly, it was my second game. It looked just more like a 3D version of the same graphics to me.
However, I believe that if the gaming industry is to succeed in the coming generations, they must keep making games in the cell-shading style. Why? Since when have little kids shown any interest in things that model reality closely? Little kids will want to play cartoony games and will get hooked on video games. Then when they grow older, they will play other games similar to TP's graphics.

That's a good point, and it makes me think of another. I think that WW had a large effect on the gamming industry. Look at some other realy good cel shaded games. Killer 7, and NMH are the first two which come to mind. Both realy well recieved (I haven't played Killer 7, but heard good things, NMH easily became one of my top 10) even though they were cel shaded and aimed at an adult audience.

That brought up some good points. People grow...and the ones complaining about the WW graphics were typically from the OoT generation, or at least played OoT first. If WW was your first/second game...there's really nothing to complain about is there.
